Oklahoma City will have a vote March 4th on whether the citizens should pay for a "practice arena" with tax money for a potential NBA team (that likely will end up in OKC anyway), when the multimillionaires that own the team have the means to pay for it themselves. Crazy times...

  • Your vid is a favorite on Hungary

  • @rickmcclure1229 What does that mean, exactly?

  • Disregarding the horrible quality of this, you completely ignore the facts and hide behind silly attempts at humor.

FACT: The owners can not contribute to the upgrades because they have not yet been given permission to move the team. They are in a ongoing legal battle over that issue.

FACT: Even if they could, the Ford Center is owned by the city, so only the city can pay for a remodel.

  • JasonOKC must be new to Youtube, so allow me to explain how it works... You see, clips are submitted by USERS, not television industry production-houses.. so it is nonsensical to critique a clip's "quality". Have you ever seen what else is out there on Youtube? Silly newbie, stick with it, you'll get the hang of it..

  • FACT: The upgrades benefit all Ford Center events, not just NBA.

FACT: Clay Bennett has said that the team will NOT come if we don't pass this. Sure it could in theory, but it won't.

FACT: If we hadn't gone through with this same tax for the original MAPS, we would not have a downtown movie theatre, or a reopened Skirvin Hotel, or a downtown Art Museum, or Renaissance in Midtown, or new residential all over downtown.

You have to invest to get something back.

  • FACT: The ballot vaguely mentions REIMBURSEMENTS that give the city carte blanche to use the money for anything involved in "recovering losses", including buying out the Sonics' contract in Seattle if they choose to do so. Let's hear you dispute that one, cutie

  • Is 62-to-38 percent a landslide? Really? Sure 44,849 voters approved, but 27,564 voted against it. Sounds like a lot of people in OKC were against it, if only to spend that money on something else.

  • You know what I loved. It passed! LANDSLIDE!!!

  • Loves it! If you weren't married, I would have the worst crush on you :-)
