This car originally had a 360 2-barrel. That motor has been out for 4 years now. I put this 318 in until I rebuild the 360 or go for a big block. Current engine is a 1972 Charger 318 with a 1978 4-barrel intake and 1975 440 thermoquad carburetor. Upgrades are small tube headers, orange ignition box, Summit Racing #6901 camshaft and lifters, and Summit double roller timing set.

  • @5point0guy You are right, after I took this video, I found out that one of the #7 cylinder spark plug wire fell out of the loom and got melted in half on the nearest header downtube. Oh, also I was having difficulty with the Carter Thermoquad. I now have an eddy LD4B intake and 600cfm carb on it. Runs and sounds much better now.

  • replying to my old comment...i bought this cam..it sounds nothing like this...its more of a fast choppy idle...either your carb is idled way to low or something is off..check my videos for the same cam in a 318

  • did u do anythign special when u put the cam in?..also whats it idle at im about to but the same cam
