  • Nice car, sounds pretty quiet inside. Had a few questions. Does wind noise pick up significantly after 60 mph, is tire thrum on coarse pavement and is ride quality as good as big American cars.(Cadillac,Lincoln)

  • @watso64 I don't notice any significant increase in wind over 60mph, I've heard the ls460 has that problem. I'm not that familiar with caddy's but I know lincoln towncars are very smooth, too smooth according to some people. The ls430 is a nice balance between handling and ride quality. A lot of passengers in my car have commented how smooth it is, and how quiet. I've got over 100,000 miles so I'm guessing the shocks are near the end of their life. Love my car.

  • integra144 thanks for the comment, I turned off the traction control (VSA) for this vid, but when it's on it beeps.

  • @mymovies1977 I'm thinking of getting an LS430 for my first car, would you recommend it?

  • @Capthunter95, definately recommend this car. Maint costs can be high if you're buying one with over 90,000 miles. But it's mostly preventative maint. When looking it would be nice to get one with the timing belt already changed, so you don't have to fork out $1000-$1800 to get it done. As will all cars you can save alot of money by reading the forums and maintaining yourself

  • this is a light vehicle for it's size, the goodyear winter's work amazing. I've never even come close to getting stuck on any road. Even when the traction is off like in the video it's not that easy to get into trouble, they go a sideways but the limited slip diff in this car works wonders and helps straighen you out.

  • I have a 2001 LS430, the ABS is outstanding and has been very well mannered in the snow.

  • @AdThaDon2k8 I've had no problems at all from my ls 430 with the exception of it sucks in snow.... I'm considering trading for a gx470 because of it. I live in the Northeast and drive an hour to work sometimes in some pretty deep snow. Another issue other than getting stuck in parking lots is when I try to stop at a red light, it just keeps going... although it does stay straight... With winter coming in a few months I'm already starting to get nervous about driving in the snow!

  • wel.... I live in the northeast and have this car. It does well in the snow BUT whatever you do don't stop in it!! I got stuck in the parking lot that had been plowed with only about a inch of snow. I tried everything to turn the traction off and the tire still would spin then stop. That was not the first time this has happened.

  • has this car given u any problesm since owner ship jd power released its 09 dependiblty/reliablity top 10 list and on top of the heap was your 05 06 ls430 tht was completely flawless other than battery complanits and other than series issues
