"WHEN DOES IT BECOME ECONOMICALLY VIABLE TO STOP DESTROYING THE PLANET FOR OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE?"
Anatole Kononewsky. 2008
The song, "See the world in you", was written by Anatole Kononewsky especially for the launch of the video documentary, "What If... A New Global Option". The launch was at the Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, Australia in November 1989. The video was created for the Global Energy Network Institute (GENI) and inspired by the work of Dr R. Buckminster Fuller. Robert Kiyosaki was one of the guest speakers for the launch. The video outlines a project for global cooperation.
The song was recorded and produced in 1989 at a back-yard studio in Bondi Junction, Sydney, Australia with a close friend and great singer/musician, Kevin Bennett. A very basic home music clip was recently produced for the song based around its chorus, "What if the world turned around and said, isn't it enough?" But is is making a extremely important statement about our future on this planet.
In essence, it promotes the view of an essential unity between all of life on our planet. When we begin to see ourselves connected to everyone and everything, we see that anything we do to others and the planet, we do to ourselves. The question that arises from this point of view, especially with respect to the effects of global warming and environmental pollution, is:
When does it become economically viable for our
children's future to stop destroying our planet?
The song is also linked to another initiative and a song written by Anatole Kononewsky, "See what we can be". The focus of this song is to see the full potential in each of us, especially our children. Our mission then becomes to see that the highest priority of our families, communities, schools, government and business is to ensure all of our children are raised to feel safe, secure and satisfied. We will then create more peaceful people, and with more peaceful people we will begin to have a more peaceful world.
