Guilty, No Jail Time for HIV+ Singer in Germany

A German court Thursday found a girl-band singer guilty of infecting a partner with the HIV virus. But Nadja Benaissa didn't receive a jail term, she received a two-year suspended sentence and 300 hours community service instead. (Aug. 26)

Prosecutor was giving her excuses. She only lost 300 hours of her life, but how many years has she taken from her ex? Just because she was young and that it was a long time ago, doesn't mean she isn't responsible. She's seriously affected two peoples' lives so far, in her life: the baby she did or didn't have when she was 16 and her ex boyfriend who now has a life threatening virus.
