My two best laps of the day in my 350z at High Plains Raceway, a 2:10.672 followed by another 2:10.672, while chasing Joel's orange 350z. It was a very hot August day, and the brake fluid and power steering fluid both started boiling after a few laps, but the car was otherwise awesome. It should have another second or two of lap time left to shave off once the brake fluid issue is under control...
The video was shot with an RCA EZ2000 strapped to the passenger seat headrest. The datalogger overlay was created with RaceRender 1.6 using Traqmate data.
Car Setup:
- 2005 Nissan 350z Touring (287hp VQ35DE engine)
- Motordyne 5/16" plenum spacer
- 225/45-17 front & 245/45-17 rear Nitto NT-01 tires on base-model 17" rims
- Hawk DTC-60 brake pads
- The car is otherwise stock
Awesome man. I always love your videos. I know it will be different for my car, but I use these to learn the route for when I finally get up there. Haha I'm just going to understeer like crazy.
