FREE DOWNLOAD of Nodan's new BOOK @ nodan-karate.mynetworksolutions.com . . . Nodan's breaking demonstrations show the power of "one strike" techniques and do not teach or promote a karate style. In the kata and makiwara demonstrations, his distinctive breathing kiai can be heard on every movement performed with full power. The Nodan character is a parody of the karateka's misguided quest to become a great martial arts master, and he chose to remain unknown believing that, "Humility finds a refuge in anonymity." Already in his late 50s at filming, Nodan shows us the advantages of technique over sheer physical prowess. . . . . The video, "Board Testing and Breaking Difficulty," shows that the 5 board stacks used in his suspended power breaks could support a 650 lb. (295.5 kg) barbell placed across its centerline and running parallel with the grain. Nodan's karate is street self defense and cannot be compared with competitive sport, which has rules and hand pads to protect the fighters, unarmed opponents, and a controlled environment. His philosophy of street defense is explained in the video description to "Nodan Self Defense." A brief account of his enlightenment experience is provided in the channel Profile.

  • I can see what he means, as the Kundalini principles oppose Christian beliefs as Kundalini is pagan. Also, Kunalini is said to be dormant at the base of the spine, envisioned as a goddess or sleeping snake. The word Kundalini can also be translated as "serpent power" into English. In Christianity however, the coiled serpent is evil, the anithesis of good. Satan is the "serpent" in the Bible who has evil power. So I can see where he's coming from, as I study world religion.

  • @rapjigga1 Well stated.

  • @2:57 You've got to be kidding me, right? Only if he is 2500 years old.

  • @bertjuhnl Wrong, and it is your skepticism that makes this jujitsu technique work for a well trained expert. If the gunman does not anticipate the maneuver because he can't imagine that it is possible, then the defender can easily stay one step ahead of his reaction time by using misdirection and the element of surprise... If your 2500 year reference is to Jesus, then you would be wrong about that also. According to scholars, Jesus lived approximately 2000 years ago. Peace.

  • I just want to make a note here.., I didn't understand the video's view on kundalini, but my experience with kundalini energy has been profound and very pleasurable and beautiful. It is our birth-right to use whatever energy we want and kundalini energy is "our" energy stored and latent. I used quotation marks because I know that nothing is really "ours", all flows from Source/Father/God-dess etc.. Peace be with you. Namaste :)

  • @noizGenerator Indeed, people can experience "energy" in different ways, and there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to mystical experience. Peace.

  • @bertjuhnl oh it's possible.

I've done this in weapon disarm drills.

I tell the gunman to shoot me if I even so much as move or flinch.

then i move is a way the is unexpected.

and catch him off guard completely because he does not expect me to be able to get to him(he is over confident in his gun) and he is too slow to counter-react effectively to my superior reflexes/movement speed, and mode of attack(skill/technique).

    good video nodan!

    good message too!

    respect

    peace!

  • @nodankarate Thank you so much sir, I have so much respect for you.

  • His words are beautiful and pure.

  • @noizGenerator Are you trying to say that all power/energy flows from the same diety?

  • @nodankarate I totally agree with you bro. I really admire your guts, the courage it takes to tell people you believe in Jesus. I know a lot of people who accepted Jesus who lost friends and stuff. I started in Kyukushinkaikan, like my father who is a black-belt. He used to break bricks like it was nothing. The dojo ceiling was more than 15ft high and his master could kick it easily. I have seen people do things humanly impossible, not many would believe if I told of them.

  • nice~ greetings from Malaysia

  • his hands are weapon
