An excerpt from Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance's staging of Salvatore Aiello's "Satto." This choreography was performed courtesy of The Salvatore Aiello Trust, and staged by Timothey Rhinehart Yeager. The dancers are Sadie Harris and Jon Upleger.
In SATTO (Wind Dance), the intensity of the dancer's movements celebrates the powerful elements in nature that come together harmoniously. Delicate and precise partnering creates an atmosphere that represents a encounter between the wind and a leaf. With a distinctive Japanese style, the pas de deux is propelled by the music of Katsutoshi Nagasawa and Chip Davis. SATTO (Wind Dance) was premiered by the North Carolina Dance Theatre on October 13, 1983.

Beautiful. Maybe just a tiny bit too gymnastic for my taste. The dancing itself was gorgeous.
