  • Once again I feel like adding music would make the meaning of the film more pronounced. I'm afraid it is rather difficult to discern what exactly is taking place because of the camera angles. After re-reading the short story, your film still doesn't make much sense. On a positive note, the black and white film and aged look emphasize the darkness of the piece and make the lack of sound perfectly sensible.

  • The film is only loosely adapted from the short story by Alice Walker. It was a class project, and TJ and I decided to take a different route as to what the little girl discovers. It maintains the theme which is "loss of innocence." We couldn't have music because it was meant to be a silent film, editing on raw film stock with a razor blade.

  • interesting take on the tale. minus the race element, it has a poe-like feel.

  • nice

  • Very nicely done. Had the look and feel of a turn-of-the-century film.

  • Good vid. Starts out real innocent then... well, I like the turn. Very dark but good. That fact that it's silent and in black and white AND has the 'old camera' look adds up nicely.

  • can u explain it to me? it was beautiful!
