Ps3 Wired connection problems

hi, guys i really need help. you see a few weeks ago i bought my ps3. i have comcast. connect directly through modem.when i connected it to internet it worked fine. afterwards we had some problems with computer so we called comcast they said that our ip add was static so they changed out ip from 169..... to 69....now whenever i try to connect to ps3 i cant do it. tried power cycling doesn't work. entered info manually still don't work. did automatic doesn't work. plsssssss help me !!!!!!!!!!!!

mudbogginit yeah i have the same problem and dont try to restore the system because i did and it didnt help, best way to fix it is to put the fucking ps3 in the bin i am sick of it, i hate it man

I connect my ps3 through ethernet straight to modem. All of the sudden it has stopped connecting and altho it does pick up wireless signals, I can't connect to those either. We haven't made any changes to our modem settings and there have been no new devices connecting.

Is this a common problem? How do I fix it? I have tried everything and I hope it's not a fault with my PS3. I've refrained from formatting because there's too much saved on my system to risk losing any of it.

please get back to me on this, i have netscape internet. (which blows) what broadband internet should i get. then what do i have to buy after that? I know i need an ethernet cable and a router. but my dad is a tight ass, and i need to suggest cheap broadband to him. i live out in the country too, i've heard hughes net is good, but jesus christ that costs $60 a month... please get back to me.

i have the same problem except my modem says motorola SBV5220 SURFboard cable modem and i can't connect it wired

@thegame2187 try to call your internet provider and tell them that you need to change or reset your ip they will ask why then you explain your case and they will do it.... now there is not guarantee that it will work this is just an option

the best thing i know is to disconnect ur power cord of ur modem let it rest for 2mins then connect it bk

n if your lucky just make sure the only ethernet cord connected to the modem is jst from the ps3 i always get good connection but wen other ppl use the net i lag so much
