Philadelphia's The War on Drugs famously plies similar musical terrain as other dreamy, reverby acts like Ducktails and (former bandmate) Kurt Vile, but its work, as evidenced on its new record Slave Ambient, is perhaps the sharpest of the batch. Thanks to the compelling songwriting of Adam Granduciel, Slave Ambient is a record that ages well; it pretty much gets better with each listen. The group stopped by TONY to perform a couple songs from that release. http://tmout.us/r8LPms
