See and hear jazz tuned reed blocks on a diatonic GCF set.
(This description includes a disclaimer below. Read on before attempting this yourself.)
This set of reeds is a standard type of tuning that has 9 pairs of reeds tuned in octaves. These are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th buttons down in each row. I hope this makes sense. I kind of threw this together in a hurry, before work one day.
***Disclaimer***
Blowing through your reeds can cause long term damage to them. The moisture from your breath (and residual acids) can cause rusting of the reed tongues. If you must blow through them, be sure to clean them well and dry them thoroughly to help prevent damage. A better solution is to have a tuning table set up with bellows attached to push air through the reeds. That way you're working with the same air that's in your environment. Reed replacement can get expensive, so beware and do this at your own risk. In other words, the message is "do as I say, not as I do." This is at best a last resort to tuning your boxes.

I hope the information in this video is worth the damage I may have caused to these reeds.
Thank you to the people that have sent me messages regarding the consequences of blowing into your reeds. It's great to know there are so many knowledgeable people in this community willing to share their experience. Best wishes.
nice video and you won't cause damage I work with reeds each day and my advise if ye blow in them.. simply put them in the box and play it for like 15 minutes then ye blow out all the liquids if there are any in them. Same counts for playing outside when yer home put the box down like 15 minutes and then play for another 15 minutes all will be fine ;) thank you for the fun video and I hope I added something by this for ye as well
cheers
