Republican Chris Christie formally launched his campaign for New Jersey governor today where he promised to unveil a four-year policy plan for the state. Here he discusses cutting the budget, reducing the income and corporate business taxes, defending his experiences and qualifications, consolidating towns and school districts, getting concessions from unions, and focusing on the federal government's stimulus package. • This guy is great

  • TAX THE RICH!

  • @SOLISDEUS theres that fair share term again. Such a bullshit term at it's core.

  • @SOLISDEUS

Oh but it did work! It was the greed in the housing market that brought it down both in the government sector, Fannie and Freddie (which by the way has gotton untouched and worse) and the private sector including those of us who thought we could get something for nothing (a nanny state),

  • Tax the rich! 40 years of supply side economics lowering taxes for the wealthy and redelegating the tax burden to the local level in form of property and sales tax has not worked! No school teachers or union snow plow teams or pot hole crews or policeman to blame for budget crisis. Rather, rich have not been paying their fair share.

  • @SOLISDEUS I love this argument. AT NO POINT IN HISTORY EVER HERE OR ANYWHERE HAS TAXING THE RICH BROUGHT ABOUT ECONOMIC PROSPERITY! THE RICH HAVE THE RESOURCES TO MOVE IF TAXES ARE TOO HIGH. BIG BUSINESS GOING TO CHINA IS GREAT FOR THE WORKING MAN ISN'T IT?

  • @BKPAGE Please explain how it is that cutting library funds will affect the internet and property taxes.

  • Former Governor Whitman lowered taxes for millionaires by 33% depriving the State treasury of nearly 90 billion dollars in taxes. That's the problem....supply side economics...lowering taxes for the rich and placing the burden on working folks at the local level. Governor Christie's slash and burn "let them eat cake" policy of cutting police, fireman, and school teachers is the same elitist crap that for the past 40 years have destroyed our economy and standard of living.

  • should have thrown our former mayor in jail for not accounting for 6 million of ENCAP's money.

  • @SOLISDEUS

unlesss you live here, don't tell us anything.
