  • The Secondary is 15 cm in height and 5cm in diamter and wound with 0,1mm wire. yeah, the secondary is damaged and with this test on full power i wanted to burn it up, but the sec survived. the resonant frequency is around 390khz and i use a fullbridge with irg4pc50ud igbts. supply voltage is 310v dc (only 500µF filtering)

  • Aaargh! Drop some sparks onto that paint can there for a truly memorable video! *BOOM!!!*

  • your getting an arc over i the secondary

  • your`s tesla`s coil secondary winding is bat cuz inside is smal arc in secondary .....................

    rewind it

  • hmm, how is the secondary damaged? Was the wire broken somewhere in there or something.

But still, great arcs for a small sec, and a crippled one at that. pretty blue arcs too... *_*

  • Even damaged it worked good very nice video.

  • awesome! btw how does the secondary like what's going on? I ask because I have a small (26cm high) isstc (not dr) wound with 0.18cm wire, and on higher duty cycles (in that clip with burst mode controller I fired it up to 50% cycle at around 60bps btw, but that's surely too much - and heating accures starting from 20%@50bps) in like 5 minutes it heats up like hell, including, surprizingly, the toroid 0_0

  • your secondary seems damaged... but nevertheless, it's really cool, good work

  • That's cool and such a small coil. How about some info? Is it a full bridge? What switching devices are you using? What is the resonance frequency? What about the supply voltage?

  • Great coil!!.....it looks like it wants to breakout

from the centre of the secondary too!

What interrupter times were you operating

    for that small of coil?
