@Diiamond17 I appreciate your comment and please take my response kindly as well, but I respectfully disagree. I have played against numerous 4.5 and 5.0 players and have seen lobs used very effectively, particularly when all four players are at the kitchen. As I say in the video, the type of lob to hit is one that is high and deep and travels far above your opponents' heads, sending them running backwards. If done properly, the lob can be deadly. it is a skill that I hope nobody abandons.
Take this comment kindly as it was written kindly but the only tip for lobbing at the top level is don't do it....There is only one top level 5.0 who uses the lob and it is always from a position when all 4 players are at the kitchen..So unless your name is Dan Gabanek lobbing is an ineffective strategy. I understand that these videos are targeting a beginning audience and do not apply to advanced players/strategies but why teach beginners something they will have to abandon as they get better
