That is soooo cool!

unfortunately people are lazy and insensitive. loop wasted line up in a spool, tie it over and put it in your pocket to disgard on shore in a garbage can. go to the nth degree and take it to your tackle shop as most have a bin for used line.

I like to pick up discarded line.
The local shop here has a line drop off box!
I mean I visit that store once a week, how much can it hurt to drop it off there instead of the shore line.

Yup. I hate it as well. I was wading once and some of wrapped around my boot. I pulled the line and it looked like some moron was fishing with 10-12 lb. mono in this little stream! Looks like they got hung up on a rock and just dumped their line, ALOT of line. I swear, when I see a guy or girl do this, I want to just pick it up and strangle them with it.

yeah i get sooo POED when i find this kind of stuff at my fishing spots...it gets rediculous, i even find fishing line in high alpine lakes!!! grrr

What the hell is that 75lb test. What a waste.... Any line i strip I put in mypocket or bag, and deal with it home. Some of the local fishing holes are littered with the stuff... PACK UP YER TRASH FOLKS! Very important to leave the site cleaner than when you found it.

i couldnt tell you how much fishing line i just removed from my vest into the trash! nice reminder

THANK YOU for reminding people about this. Over the years I have seen miles and miles of stripped line laying around on shore banks, by riversides, and tangled around various things . It is a hazard.
Most modern fishing line is very photo-sensitive and decays over time, but whenever we can avoid leaving line in the wild, we should.
Excellent reminder.
This is a big problem here too, in Ohio. The line wraps around Ducks or even duckings. This lives wrap around the propeller hub and chew up the water seals. Epensive !.
How hard is it to just take it away with you and put it in a trash can. You WILL feel good about helping out. Everyone needs to do this, or just stop throwing any trash down Please.
Your english is very good. Where in Europe are you from. My wife is German and we've been married about 23 years now.

Thanks. One of the programs that we are involved with is a river cleanup program and adopt-a-river program for a popular river system near us. Every little bit helps.
Nina is from Denmark. :)
