Because in To love ru manga the black cat guy appears and Yami explains she was his partner or something like that. (I haven't read or watch Black Cat)

And Yami is actually not her real name, she just want to be called like that.

Another interesting thing: The creator of the manga usually joins the characters of his works, like in "Mayoi Neko Overrun!" Mikan, Kotegawa and Celine appears in some chaps.

When i finished watching black cat and didn't see this scene i was slightly confused so i went to search for black cat movies, ova's etc and it seems that this was a different anime. It made me really confused lol
