The LSJ ran the Lansing drive in editorial on Sunday september 11th 2011. You can read it on line. Please phone or Email me. I'm curious if you got some leads, or any. I Talked to Mr. Jerry Blackburn (Holt) for a few minutes, what an honor and joy. Says he might have a couple of snapshots, will call if found.. Thanks

@rick3925 How many drive in theaters have U documented? I'm sure they are all perfectly lit, you sound like a genius. I did the best with what I had.

@ariaphobia I've run into a few people who do not like the film, I have a hard time understanding that. I was a teenager when AMERICAN GRAFFITTI first came out, playing at the MERIDIAN 4. It played for a record 42 weeks! It is the ONLY time a movie has done this here. it never happened again (except weekly Rocky Horror). National Amusements treatment of drive in theaters is a sad story indeed.

Your camera work sucks. Do you know anything about lens apertures? It was way too dark. You could have lightened it up with video software.

Over 11,100 Hits! FANTASTIC!
Thank you for posting this video! the CAPRI looks like a drive in that'll be around for a long time especially if they continue to have these kind of promotional events. It seems that when a drive in is owned and run by a family it has more character. Companies like National Amusements don't care. I also liked the idea of showing 35mm prints of classic films. I was too young to see American Graffiti at the theater when it came out, and the first time I saw it it was cut up for TV. Great video
