There are many who deserve to be in the RnR Hall of Hame that aren't. I love Mitch Ryder too, but Patti Smith deserves to be there. The one I have a problem with is Madonna.

you kids of today have no appreciation for the roots of the music you love. the stones influenced Patti Smith, and Patti Smith influenced Kurt Cobain, and Kurt Cobain influenced Avril Lavigne, don't you get it? OK, at 60 she doesn't have the vocal range of Hannah Montana, but come on ! This is one of the REAL original rockers and one of the greatest poets of the 20th century !
