  • The birthplace of the Cyrillic script is actually Veliki Preslav, where the oldest Cyrillic inscriptions have been found.

Otherwise, beautiful video of a beautiful town!

  • @NikeBG In Macedonia, in Solun (Aegean Macedonia) and in Ohrid is created the alphabet which today is used by Millions of people around the world. :)

  • It is about time for Europe and the world to give a break to Macedonia, and provide some recognition to the glorious, ancient Macedonian people! It is impressive the antiquity available in Spopje & other sites in Macedonia... It must be a wonderful place to visit!

  • Love Macedonia!

    Macedonia 4 ever!

  • @Blad771 In Solun was created (by St. Cyril and St. Methodius) the Glagolithic alphabet, which today is used by no people and its latest use was in Croatia around the 19th century. ;)

The Cyrillic alphabet, on the other hand, was created in Veliki Preslav and that's where all the earliest Cyrillic inscriptions are, while in Ohrid all inscriptions from that time use the original Glagolithic.
