I have an o3 R1 that leaves a zx6 so far behind...kinda silly.
I am also the proud owner of a 99 vfr 800
and would take the vfr anyday over any 600cc sportbike.
fast enough//sounds like a stockcar
can be kneeddown with ease
and goes on long hauls all day.
plus kawi's are cheap light crap....imo

very nice job. Very tastefully done...no idiotic huge tires, chrome or bling. Very nice.

Good Work !!

If the clip-ons are above the triple-tree(clamp) = no sportbike. Yes, it looks awesome good, and I am not doubting that it is fast, but it is not classified as a sportbike. I believe the class is sport touring or something along those lines.

@TheMikenco This should actually be an obligatory part of owning a vfr. Maybe a clause that's signed during purchase? It's what marks us out as an evolutionary step onwards from those inline four thingy riders and a completely different (superior) species to the people who insist on mincing around INSIDE those boxy metally things. You know, the ones with wheels on every corner to stop them falling over.

@TheMikenco True, Mikey, occasionally I even take my hi-viz waistcoat off when on the beach. But never in the shower when I find visibility is poor. Now where's my beard trimmer...

Rule number 1: vfr's shall be painted in solid colours. Replica paint jobs are for those funny in line four thingies that people insist on riding. Don't make me repeat this.
TheMikenco, I used to Loooove opening her up through tunnels and hear the V4 Roar resonating out the exhaust.. Proper GT racing sound!!
LeviathanRan, I totally agree, but guess what bike I'm currently looking out for?? A ZX6R!! :-s

I sprayed the fairings myself after having a bit of a spill at a roundabout when it was more of a conventional colour scheme. Afetr replacing most of the fairings and repairing the rest, I used Halfords spray cans, some stickers from ebay and got my old man's mate to give it all a coat of laquer with his spray gun. Took me about a month's work and a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears, but it was worth it in the end.

I sold this VFR over a year ago to buy a kart and although I've had some fun karting, I think its time I hang up my karting boots and get myself another bike! Thanks for all the comments.. just thought I'd let you know my thoughts on some of them:
Kutwrite, the boring uniform I'm wearing is courtesy of Her Majesty, but I'm not with the Royal Mail.. I'm serving in the Royal Air Force!
hjjfffaa, my helmet was supplied by frank's barbers.
