Last battle between Xavier St. Cloud and Duncan Macleod from episode Finale (2).

The way Duncan uses Xavier's sword by the end is somewhat peculiar, though.

  • @DrIdaho I considered that. I just thought it odd that a series called "Highlander's" most iconic weapon wasn't a Scottish Claymore. A weapon also well suited to lopping heads off.

  • @ThePa1riot

Duncan has lived for over four centuries. So it's plausible he came into contact with Asian culture at least once. Hence the Scotsman is wielding a katana.

  • Someone want to explain to me why a Scotsman is using a katana?

  • These fight scenes are highly underrated due to the fact the storylines were so good.

  • Doop doobey doop.

  • I know it's supposed to be symbolic of the MacLeod's but I'm surprised more Immortals don't use the curved blade. You can take a head with almost no effort with a curved sword.

  • Watching this and playing "She Drives Me Crazy" at the same time...total win!

  • In response to the poster's remark about Duncan using Xavier's sword... Adrien Paul was a sword expert, so the producers probably wanted to showcase his skill with as much variety (of weapons) as possible.
