Looking at the side and back view you can see that the motor has a huge gear while the wheel has a small one, that's how it goes so fast. That, and the fact it's small with minimal parts. The controller is for the computer, which sends commands using bluetooth. It never occured to me to use anything other than my phone, nice work!
