Banality of evil is a phrase coined by Hannah Arendt and incorporated in the title of her 1963 work Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil.[1] It describes the thesis that the great evils in history generally, and the Holocaust in particular, were not executed by fanatics or sociopaths, but rather by ordinary people who accepted the premises of their state and therefore participated with the view that their actions were normal.

Hannah Arendt would NOT agree with the policies of the Israeli state today.

  • My dear dear Ella, so very well said, and so very sad when considering the future as well. I hope that my video on all of this didn't come off wrong, I was just trying to collect the input of the entirety of vast voices voices weighing in on all of this. My goal was to tell people to stand and stand with total awareness, my fear is the the gov. will attempt to diminish our first amendment rights based on the necessary actions made my Assange. Embrace the information and protect what we've got.

  • @KazukiSeirei Kaz, your vid did NOT come off as wrong at all. We all need to viligilant and weighing several sources. I stand with the madres of the 'disappeared + tortured' in Latin America. It takes great courage to do this, and several of the mothers were also killed, simply for raising their voices. None of us are probably that strong at heart...to endure all this, without taking up arms, or to seek the protection of those who do. It's a very difficult question...to say the least.

  • The lamestream media may be calling for his head, but the same can be said of their calls for BinLadin's. Do you think the Wiki fellow really believed it when he said that 9/11 was done by "terrorists" with boxcutters? Given his level of intelligence, and knowledge, his saying that makes him suspect. Plus, I don't believe in "leaks" w/o consent/complicity of the CIA and other alphabet soup agencies. I smell a fish in this "leak"business. Distraction perhaps. IDK

  • @rvlqcitizen Yes, I do believe, that JA really did believe in the theory of blow-back in terms of our foreign policy. There is much truth this, and I believe it also, but regarding 9/11 he may have missed the mark, as did Chomsky. The blow back is real regardless of whether our own govt was involved in 9/11, and does not negate the theory. They may have taken advantage of the blow back, for their own ends, namely to keep the miiltary/industrial complex growing + growing. Just a thought.

  • Ella, you are a friend of democracy. I appreciate your work.

  • @carefulcarpenter Thank you. Trying my best, but not very successfully, I might add.

  • Thank you Ella, I agree with you completely, too many people see a conspiracy in everything these days lol

    Sad but True

  • I love wikileaks, after all, it's freedom of press, it they shut them off, they will be others. Just like torrents. Great work by the way, I find you so fascinating, you rock girl. Keep up the great work. Very informative, happy you make me. I work for the government, there is just so much intelligence to go around, and some of them go without it.

  • @carefulcarpenter yes, indeed.

  • @MustacheVerra No, this was too big to ignore. Sure, the MSM is gonna shape the message - but WL didn't gain prominence via the MSM, it gained prominence through alternative media FIRST, way before the Iraq + Afghan war logs were even published. In any case, I DO understand your cynicism.

  • @MustacheVerra Sorry to disagree....but the msn could not ignore these leaks. There are too many people online who get their 'news' from alternate sources. The MSM also reported on Pinochet, not because they WANTED to, but because they were forced into it. And WL is being essentially vilified by the MSM at this point , at least here in the US. This is also a red flag, no?

  • @MustacheVerra No, I don't believe so. Wikileaks took the MSM into account + put them in competition with each other. The reporting in Europe regarding wiki is NOT as slanted as it is in the US - although, this is also changing.
