I dropped the ghost box mini after the first issue seemed to depart from the regular story. Astonshing is my fave X-title to bad it doesn't come out consistently. I have you read Cap. Britian?
I don't mind spending $3.99 or even $4.99 on a book as long as I feel that I get what I paid for. Give me extra pages with more story. Something that's worthy of my extra dollar.
And NO, I do not mean just a foil cover *coughValiantcough*.
I felt pretty ripped off when I finished reading my 1 dollar more expensive than regular book 1/2 book thats for damned sure.
Marvel seems to really wanna put in dick in their fan bases collective a-holes, a practice that goes back to the Wolverine Origins mini which was one of their highest selling books at the time, in the same format as the ultimate books at the time, but a buck more.
I really want to be buying the 2 X-minis atm, but F-me I'm not spending a buck more for the books.
Well I love the concept, I'm a fan of the Sentry, and I'm a fan of Jeff Parker.
I've always wanted to see more from the Sentry's past, but it just feels like silly comics stories with no relevance.
I've always thought the idea of Marvel having a Superman like characters a great idea as well, but that idea now seems to be sliding over to the Blue Marvel more so than Sentry...
"Uncanny X-men" I feel has "too many chefs spoiling the soup", if you know what I mean? There are too many sub-plots, which I feel is causing the book to drag. The only sub-plot that really entrigues me is Beast putting together his "Science Squad" to solve the mutant extinction problem caused by Bendis, I mean Scarlet Witch!

I don't care how bad or good Ghost Boxes is, $3.99 for HALF a comic means I'm not buying it. I'd pick it up out of the dollar bins at a show though.

I'm forgiving of books being late so they maintain quality.
At least so long as its not so slow that only 4 issues come out in a year I'm fine with it.
But really Marvel shoulda had more issues in the can before the released the series so that the schedule was maintained.
