  • You'know You've done great. It gave me chills. I hope you've had more success as the years have gone beyond just college fun. Do take care and may this year be one of wealth, health, and success for you and your family.

This is easily the nicest comment I think I've ever gotten on any video I've ever uploaded anywhere. I really appreciate the comment and you taking the time to watch this vid! And I have had the awesome opportunity to continue doing video as a motion graphics artist as well as working with a team on short documentaries :) I hope this reply finds you doing well!

  • 2:23 was pretty cool (:

The only thing it could of done without was the smash noise, sounded above the music audio, apart from that, I thought it was absolutely fantastic and hope you got a good mark for it!

  • Yeah, we had wanted to take it out but we had to have nat. sound in the piece somewhere as part of the grade (and I was too lazy to render out a new version.....). Definitely a good point though. Thanks for the comment!

  • SOMEwhere.... lol XD

  • @theeugoogalizor The only thing I am trying to articulate is that if the song taken as a whole, without other sources, does not specify when the main character remembers his dad. So, with that information, you have the ability to create the senario. I mean when I listened to it when first released, I identified with the story because of a similar situation with my dad. Listening to it again after my dad had a work accident, it made me think, what if I didn't have the opportunity to talk to him

  • @Madaspy It is made clear in the other song lyric I referenced. I see where you're coming from but it sounds like you're inventing excuses for a poorly done literal interpretation of the song (this video.)

  • @theeugoogalizor I guess, what i am saying is it is not clear as to when he has this moment of reflection. Was there a trigger that mentions a specific point in time when the character of the song remembers and reconciles this emotion he has with his father. I don't think it does. So the filmmaker used his death as the trigger for the main character to remember his issue with his dad. The film maker could have chosen anything to trigger the flash backs. Its really just up to creative freedom.

  • @Madaspy The death in the song is a metaphor, as is the title. He explicitly states that his dad left them at the beginning of the song and to him that is his dad "dying" or being dead to him. He even explicitly clears this up in another song "Errand Rum" where he says "he was never dead, at least not to you"

  • @theeugoogalizor The charcter could have only realized how he felt about his dad after he passed, and wished for a chance tell his tell dad that he loved him. A lot of time we only realized that opportunity for healing when it is too late, and therefore we never get the opportunity to heal.

  • Whats the actual meaning of the song?...

  • AWESOME

  • Wow. Great video quality much? lol
