I agree, he is among the best. The changes to this tune aren't the easiest to blow over either, no matter the key. He played lead in the Akiyoshi band on Tales of a Courtesan by the way. Awesome player at both ends of the horn.

bill reichenbach is the master of jazz bass trombone. HE DOES NOT SUCK. he is what every bass trombonist wants to sound like. every bass trombonist i know looks up to him and every bass trombonist they know look up to him. you say he is repetitive? i don't think so. his ideas are melodious and intriguing. i'd love to see you jam with mr. reichenbach, then see what you'd say.

Yeah man, I totally agree - Im absolutely sure you can school his butt! I cant wait to hear you put a video up of yourself playing jazz bass trombone way better than Bill Reichenbach! Im sure you went to Eastman and studied with Emory Remington! Did you play in the Buddy Rich band? How about the Lew Tabackin - Toshiko Akiyoshi band? Are you the trombonist on Michael Jackson's Thriller video? No. Bill Reichenbach is one of the best bass trombonists out there - he does not "suck"
