There is a lot to love about this mago from its naive ochre artwork typical of Croker Island to the stunning acoustics. Despite its size, there isn't the constriction or tightness characteristic of shorter instruments. Instead, it has a voice that is absolutely first rate, full of character and with plenty of shades of colour. A real gem of an instrument that is sure to delight the mago cognoscenti.
I'm not an expert at distinguishing the sounds of individual magos, but this one is definitely unique. It almost sounds like a wah-wah guitar.
