Nautilus Locationbar Mockup

I miss the Text-mode toggle button in the location bar of the new version (2.30) of nautilus. Here is what I think would be intuitive and usable.

If you click on the empty space on the right to the buttons, it changes to textmode, if you klick on the space between the buttons, the cursor is set to this point.

I created this video with Ubuntu Linux 10.04 (Lucid Lynx), OpenShot Video Editor, GTK RecordMyDesktop, and a few other tools.
It was fun to create, but not hassle free.

Looks like a very usable / intuitive workaround. :-) I would vote for that as a solution.
