@justbeauty33 Congrats on moving into your own place and the part time job! It's hard to do your own budget, but totally worth it! Glad we can be helpful, and best of luck to you! Thanks for watching, too :)

@mariamindy You're kidding, that's great! I didn't even think of that for international calls, but you're totally right. Since it's VOIP - voice over internet protocol, it's over the internet, so it should be the same cost, wherever you can get the internet. Thanks for pointing that out though! I'm going to put it in the annotations! Thanks for watching!

MagicJack questions:
1. Do you need the computer power on?
2. Do you need to be connected to the internet in order to use?
3. Do you have to be running magicjack software at all times?

@northernpike56 Answers: 1) Yes 2) Yes, and 3)I think so but am not positive. If your computer is not on or you have no internet, and you get a call it will automatically go to your MagicJack voicemail, or be forwarded to a different number (if you've enabled that option). The Magic Jack website has an FAQ section that has answers to tons of questions. Thanks for watching!

Ugh, I recently called our bundle cable/phone/internet company and tried to get them to lower our rates by inquiring of any new deals. I mentioned how if we couldn't save any money, we might have to find another provider... the sales rep responded telling me how they can't give us any deals and suggested that WHEN we were ready to cancel our service with them, that they have an automated service for that. Wow. *Arrogant sob's.* Thanks for the info about the Magic Jack, I might need it.

@lovelylouro That's terrible! I'm very surprised too, especially in this economy it seems like they should be trying to hold onto business! What a bummer! Thanks for watching :)

I have had a MagicJack for a couple of years now. I live overseas, but I can call home to Texas from New Zealand for no additional costs! If you know anyone moving overseas or going on student exchange, get them a MagicJack. It gives them a US landline WHEREVER they are.
