You're a well-spoken woman. Thanks for the demo.

The Speedy Sharp does not have a sharpening side and a honing side... You use the carbide (mirror finish) side FORWARD to sharpen and the carbide side BACKWARDS to hone.

I've had a Speedy Sharp for about 20 years. It's the best sharpener I have . It's great for giving the first good cutting edge on previously "very dull" knives. I've even sharpened several butter knives to be as sharp as the steak knives (it only takes a few minutes to put a good edge on a butter knife). Best $5 I ever spent.

I am a friend of the man that invented the speedy sharp
he passed away several years after selling the patent for the speedy. i spent a big part of my childhood building random gadgets with this man. it makes me feel good to see someone put the effort to throw a video on youtube
thanks

JgglezO, thanks so much for saying hi. It's lovely to know a bit more about the man who created the speedy sharp. I love imagining him as a real innovator and inventor.
