@wwwFullSpeedAheadcom I have got Afterburner 386 on my Cannondale with BB30. It now creeks. how do I get off the cranks or the chainrings. It looks like there is not space for bolts or allens key

I like my chris king bottom bracket better. I can regrease the bearings very easy with the king tool making the bearings last indefinitely. With this setup you get greese contamination and the bearings need to be replaced. This system has almost no seals to keep mud and dirt out except for a simple cover over the bearing and the rubber seal on the bearing itself. This setup is ok on road bikes but mountain bikes that do alot of mud riding are going to need more replacement.

Hi! If your frame is for MegaExo cranksets, you can't install the BB30 crank.

@wwwFullSpeedAheadcom l have a cervelo p3 (track frame size 55 , 2010 model ... l boght a vision trimax fsa crankset with bb30 system one guy said l can't install on my bike another from other bike shop said that is possible but they didn't have that kind of bb cups to install it on their bike shop... is it possible or not????thanks

Hi Joerdm1991,

A BB30 crank requires a frame compatible with this system, it means a BB shell with 68mm (road) or 70mm (atb) width and a 42mm threadless I.D.

So unfortunately you cannot upgrade your current bike with a new gruppo using BB30 crank system.

could a BB30 be installed on any bike or does it have to have the frame compatable with it? my bike is an '08 and did not have a BB30 option. im changing my gruppo and need to know if i can get the great BB30 system.
