1 bactria was not part of aryavarta but we had some relations with it

Way back in 4000 BC..Bactria was a colony of the Saraswati civilization, whose neolithic roots go back into 7000 BC

@sireAndracottus Well, I really don't know much about those things, though I don't think that Greeks stole much, because many of their achievements were made before the contact with India. At least in astronomy the Greeks were superior.

My hatered of Greeks are for academic reasons.....in every field of science...Aryavarta was always superior to Greeks....whether you consider philosophy, mathematics, loGic, medicine..etc..in philosphy...Greeks simply stole much of vedanta and samkhya philosophies....and yet the respect Aryavarta deserves has been robbed by Greece

@sireAndracottus Well, there is nomuch definite proof over how much the Greeks settled in India helped the Indo-Greeks, or indeed how many there even were.

Btw, I'm not a Greek suoremacist (I'm not even Greek myself), and the Maurya Empire was comparable or even greater in respect to Alexander's empire. In my opinion many coments by Greeks are also idiotic and stupidly nationalist.

Quite some parts of Bactria were included in the Mauryan Empire too....and the bactrian greeks would not have managed without the help of the greeks who had settled in and around gandhar and Taxila

@sireAndracottus But Bactria was part of Seleucid empire in c. 250 BC when Bactria seceded from it. While Chandragupta did conquer regions from the Seleucids in that area, Bactria was not one of the conquered regions.

@sireAndracottus Ahem... The Greco-Bactrians quite fairly (by the standards of the time) exploited the weakness of the Mauryas, and quite fairly conquered the north-western corner. Pushyamitra didn't crush them, otherwise they wouldn't have managed to create a kingdom. Furthermore, at the end they were only defeated by the nomadic invaders, the Yuezhi and Indo-Scythians.

Every people has comitted atrocities and selfish conquests. But al lacts like that as old as this should be forgiven.

@sireAndracottus From what I have read, the word "Barbara" was borrowed from Greek vis the Indo-Greeks.

I think that civilization rose from many different places, and practically every nationality owes somethign to every other antionality for developing some of it.
