Title: タイガークベーラ
Album: 円盤満作祭
Artists: MasamiT
Circle: O-Life
Original: 虎柄の毘沙門天 (The Tiger-Patterned Bishamonten)

Uploaded this because I had to put something up from O-Life's new "masterpiece", and this is the track that came to me as one of the best. This along with that At the End of Spring, I'll also add a comment on the somewhat strange Cosmic Mind arrange. But, I still think his older albums are better.

Shou's theme really is a mysterious song, one of the most mysterious in the whole series if I do say so, somewhat like Lunatic Eyes.
It's the whole song's progression that I don't quite get.... It's a mystery to me.
And for that, it's awesome.

O-Life's new album was good, I'm still quite disappointed with those "plastic" guitars they/he tends to use, although it's kinda like O-Life's "symbol" of fusing that slight amount of guitars with somewhat folk music. This track came to me as something totally new to me though, it's the first time I've heard a Touhou arrange like this. Fuck, I love this.
Reminds me a lot of Disgaea's soundtrack.

Anyways, since Shou is a "new" character I understand that good images of her are harder to find, but seriously maybe it's because Shou is a hard character to draw, but she seriously has close to none.

For anyone who's perplexed by the triple 7 and the "lucky" in the beginning, upon further lurking and info gathering, Shou is a disciple of "Bishamonten" or Vaisravana, in Buddhism. Which is considered one of the "Seven Gods of Fortune". And plus, this quote from Touhou Wiki:

"Shou Toramaru
Species: youkai
Ability: the power to gather treasure
A youkai representing good fortune."

Bout time ZUN made a character representing luck. Also the Kanji on the top left of the screen, 寅, means "tora" or tiger in English.

Anyways, enjoy the amazing arrange (not to mention unique). As always, thanks for watching.

  • "Bout time ZUN made a character representing luck."

What, Tewi bringing good fortune and Hina's absorbing misfortune don't count?

  • Nice. But it sounds weird for me though.

  • You do realize when I first saw the title i spaced to Lucky Star, right? Curse my assumptions...

  • diferent thats for sure, in a good way of course

  • Brofist

I feel your pain. I feel your pain.

  • @Artifrost

I cant even beat Ichirin TwT on Normal

  • I love how it bounces between Celtic-style and Indian-style.

  • Awesomeness.. o_o And this was actually the first arrange I've heard from "The Tiger Patterned Vaisravana". I was never expecting it to have a "Hindi" vibe into it but this is perfect in my opinion.

  • Wow, this one has to be one of my favorite arranges that you've uploaded o_o

  • Ahhh, so someone finally agrees that his older albums were better~! Yes! Though this is probably my favorite track on this album. Which may come as biased, as Shou is one of my favorite UFO charas, next to Byakuren of course. Both girls have such fitting themes, and wonderful designs, it was hard to choose between them.

O-Life definately gets kudos for this interesting take on Shou's theme. Very, very fitting indeed.
