Really? Tell me, who was the president/king/prime minister of any country 1000 years ago? Without looking it up, when the Republican-Democrat party split in half? In 1000 years this will 1 sentence in a history book at best. "America elected their first black president, the economy tanked, and then turned against him."

And please try to remember, it was Bush, not Obama that gave all that money to the banks. Obama headed Wall Street reform, the GOP wants to roll back that progress. I kind of imagined history in the future being a crappy amalgamation of current affairs: "In the year 2008, Barack Obama helped save the Avatar creatures from evil Republicans, who in turn flew planes into the twin towers and started a war for profit in some unimportant middle eastern country." All you need to do is look at online information sites to see how history's already being rewritten as such. :(
