Buckaroo Banzai and Stevesie Zissou assemble their ragtag teams for the ultimate confrontation of marching hipsters.

Jeff Goldblum was trying to undermine Zissou all along because "Alistair Hennessey" was really just the cover for New Jersey! You have to overlook or explain the Red Lectroid aliens apparently fighting for Team Zissou, but irregularities like that shouldn't be a problem for fans of either franchise.

Life Aquatic is pretty good, seemed a little better on second viewing, but if you like Bowie, you should listen to some of the Portuguese acoustic versions that Seu George played in the movie. I bet a resourceful person could find the soundtrack to Life Aquatic floating around the internets if he had an interest. ;) I don't know Portuguese, but it's jarring in a good way to hear familiar electric English songs played acoustic and Portuguese.
