I just got back from FL today. i took the auto train with my mom, dad, and 2 brothers. It was alot better than when we drove down. We were in coach class. The only hard part is sleeping. Other than that, they have some good food! Better than airplane food!!!

The one thing I hate about Amtrak's auto train service is the way the treat my car like crap.

@kevinmichaellee 400$, 4PM to 8:30AM the next morning the time flies by and the train is so much cleaner and nicer.

@kevinmichaellee Yes but it's nowhere near 1700 for just one or two people. A car costs about 194 and then about 170 for each ticket. Children are usually just 20 and then add about 250 for the sleeper. It's really a great ride, real convenient. It costs ALOT less than driving with the gas and overnight stays etc. It's real fun.

@kevinmichaellee around 1700 and recently the train has pulled in a lot earlier about 16 to 17 hour ride it really is a great ride ive been doing it for 17 years and its just amazing

Cool. The Chicago Tribune should come out to my area as well, Amtrak's California Zephyr and Donner Pass are right by my area of Reno, Nevada.
