Korean Folk Theater

This lively stage show was shot in on of Seoul's royal palaces; Changgyeong during the Hi Seoul festival in May 08. The story is about a traveling royal clown. He is the one on white. The king is the tall, red clad man with the giant round head mask. The clown is searching for his lost wife. When they meet they hardly recognise eachother. The clown comments on his wifes eyes to which she replies; I had "plastic surgery". It's nice to see how Korean folk tradition survives and adapts. The story continues in a village with more and more characters joining in. The video shows the happy finale.
