so many lives those armco barriers has taken on f1 tracks :(( only one i can recall , who cheated an armco barrier head on was David Purley. R:I:P all those brave f1 drivers who didnt survived.

@ellisqpr86 According to an article from the Montreal Saturday Gazette the following day, race officials stated that Revson died on impact. The various reports that he died in the ambulance are incorrect.

pre-1980 f1 racing was for lunatics. The cars were faster the tracks and the cars were much less safe the fire marshalls were badly prepared for this type of thing.

my guess is his injuries were mainly burns,he didnt die instantly like someone said,graham hill(0:47) pulled him from the burning wreck,but he died on his way to hospital. RIP

The car that Pryce was driving was a whole different chassis, and a noob marshall ran in front of Tom, to get to Toms' teammate (which is ironic) and Tom had his head caved in by the marshalls' fire extinguisher.

Most everyone who could give you any answers about the Revson accident at Kyalami are pretty much all deceased. It LOOKS like the car got somewhat stuck IN the rails, and snapped almost in half, Peter I am sure was killed instantly, probably much like Cevert, massive trauma.
