vintage synth demo by RetroSound

"The Machine"
(inspired by Pink Floyd's great track "Welcome to the Machine")

bass-drone: SCI Pro-One;
lead sound and deep bass: Moog Minimoog;
analog pad and fx sounds: SCI Prophet VS;
sweep sound: Roland Juno-60 in hold-mode;

no overdubbing, no sequencer software used

more info: http://www.retrosound.de and

Unfortunately it came by the youtube sound compression to a few unwanted digital noises in the sound.

For much better sound quality (stereo) add "&fmt=18" without quotes to the end of the URL

  • Awesome!

  • @raleighkleeb1 : when you put the video in pause mode (at 2:06 or at other points) you can see a lot of the settings. Maybe this can help you??

  • Could you give a brief explanation of how you created the machine lead? i have been trying for a long time to get it right but i just CANT!

  • No disrepect tootte minimoog but i could actually afford a j-60 to that wins for me.

  • I see that EHX Memory Man hiding under the Moog... :D

  • @tomdickens87 Welcome to Molvania

  • guauuu Marko cuantos dólares te gastaste en syntes??? beautiful machines, god work men xd 5 estrellas

  • That's really cool, very Floydian. I just think the bassline should have changed with the chord because there are some bad intervals at one point.
