Inspired by Domino's "Pizza Turnaround" campaign, Bazaarvoice conducted its own taste test to see if Domino's really did improve its recipe. See the whole story at Bazaarblog: http://bv-url.com/Pizza
Chili's, KFC, PF Changs, Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesdays, Cheesecake Factory...what if you could make the food they do right from home? Now you can! - youtube.com/watch?v=6ktnVmKZXOo

I tried the new pizza, the sauce is waaaaaaaaay too spicy. I was then told to try the hearty marinara, and it tastes too sweet. It is strange because in college I bought Dominos Pizza weekly, but now it is down to how desperate I am to not cook. The garlic sauce packs are the one thing that keep me coming back though. They are pretty good for covering up the awful sauces.
Too spicy or too sweet, either way, I quit being a regular customer.
All of the pizza is shit. People know that when they buy it, it's just who's the least shitty. It's all about convenience, go back to the 30 minute thing they could serve a turd in a box and people would still buy it because the quality doesn't matter, it's about convenience when you're dealing with garbage food like this. No matter, what they do with jockeying to be the best of the worst, it doesn't really matter. In the end the consumer loses and the stockholders win.
I'm very happy with Dominoes as a company. Very rarely will a company admit to mistakes, especially one that has been in the company for years. Me and my family called dominoes the same thing every time we ordered it; tasteless cardboard. I saw a commercial one day about their new pizza decided to give it a try. Not only was their pizza better, but it was better by a large margin. It went from the dreaded pizza that would be untouched at parties to our favorite pizza we have every few weekends.
