@bigtown That extremely conservative city happens to be the first major city in the U.S. to elect an openly gay mayor. I guess your definition of "conservative" differs from mine. And to each his own, I guess, but a city that grows like almost no other city in the country and receives 25 million tourists a year is not universally considered to be bland (and you'd know what you say is bullshit if you actually knew and visited Houston's renowned inner neighborhoods).

My girlfriend lives in Houston, I think its an incredible city, a lot better than the town town in England I come from.

This place is exactly what it is, an extremely conservative city and one of the blandest cities I've ever been. This city has the personality of a pet rock, and that's putting it mildly. Not to mention the illegals taking it over completely.
