@unknownballa77 I don't know what to make of that.... Ud. Zakir Hussain is one of the most influential teachers of Indian classical music in the past fifty years! There's nothing wrong with being a teacher, only with *losing* the ability to also be a student.

When I went to interview him, I spoke to him on the hotel phone and said, "I'm here to interview Zakir Sahib."
He said, laughing, "Woh to yahan nahin hain, lekin agar aap Zakir Hussain se milna chahen, to please come up.
Truly, what an artist, and what a man!

I met him a few times and he is amazingly playful, friendly and humble. A genuinely good human being.
