@nurb101 anakin aka darth vader is a hero from episode 1 - 6 he does restore balance to the force he kills the emperor he is redemed by his son so he is a hero starwars episode 1-6 is a bout a fallen hero. which in episode 6 he saves the galaxy by destroying palpatine and restoring peace to the galaxy so he is the choosen 1 just like they said he was in episode 1

@nurb101 But how do you know it was only a week? Even if there was not much time till the birth, Palpatine told him that joining the dark side is the only potential chance to avoid death. No , Palpatine didn`t knew the secret, he just told that if Anakin would become ugh in the force then he could possibly learn it but it was not certain. So he just took the chance. Anyone desperate would take a chance to save a loved one even though its not sure if it would work.
