This has already been called the "Holy Grail" of Phish Videos.

This is a FREELY TRADED, NEVER SOLD home movie of Phish Backstage. Total running time 1 hour 20 minutes.

The Rev. Jeff Mosier (Blueground Undergrass) was contracted by Phish in the Fall of 1994, to help them learn Bluegrass. They flew him to Michigan and Gordon picked him up in a limo, and they had their first lesson on 11-14-94, same night as Grand Rapids.

With his Blessing, the footage he shot of this whole experience, backstage and onstage, was remastered and is now being shared.

  • THIS is when Phish was Phish. No obnoxious scene, just music for the sake of playing music. This was great by the way.

  • nice to see some '94 runaway jim footage

  • @SpreadHeadLINC: smartass perhaps, but dumbass? no way

  • Awesome!

  • 6:30 TAKE IT AWAY FISHMAN!!

  • @sinvin my 2nd show! you're somewhat right. although i have to say, the scene in berkeley CA a couple weeks ago was very friendly and pleasant. :-)

  • wow whats mike playing right at the end?

  • 8:31 What a sausage fest. lol

  • @sinvin I hate to disagree with you but the fans at this show were total D-bags. They were rushing the doors, breaking out windows in the basement to sneak in. I'm not above trying to sneak into a show by any means but these people were ridiculous. I lost a lot or respect for the Phish scene after that E. Lansing show.

  • Look at all of those flannel shirts at 8:32! Oh, you have to love the 90's. I love early 90's Phish, music for the sake of music.

  • the old runaway jim's were the best, better build-ups....great energy, and i love the way phish does bluegrass, it's unique in it's own way

  • no it's Rev. Jeff Mosier
