I Just wanted to explain some of the differences between Oakley Asian fit sunglasses and standard sunglasses. For the demonstration I used Oakley O ROKR PRO which is the bluetooth headset version of the THUMP PRO.

  • Most people dont like their eyebrows to be seen when wearing sunglasses. Asians have a lower nose bridge than Caucasians, as a result the sunglasses rarely cover their eyebrows. It is to overcome this "defect" that Oakley has narrowed the bridge so that when a "typical asian" wears an Asianfit his glasses are actually placed higher that it would have been otherwise had the bridge been as wide as the glasses made for the Caucasian. Unfortunately the video explains poorly.

  • @anandrv81 Great info, I never heard of using sunglasses to cover up eyebrows. Thanks for sharing.

  • You're a dork....

  • do you know if i would have to buy lenses specifically for asian fit? or do oakley replacement lenses work with asian fit and regular styles? i'm specifically referring to the jawbone. thx

  • Thanks very much, because i were wondering about the difference!: )

  • thank u so much i just bought my pair of asain fits

  • Thanks you really helped explain the concept of Asian fit much better than the Oakley people do. I got some of the Necessity glasses in Asian and I'm Caucasian and you are right- the nose fits better. Thanks for helping me find some better glasses!

  • Great video. Thanks.

So the main difference between them is the size? A smaller size for Asian Fit?

Is that also applicable in the Inmate model? Cause I'm planning to buy one.

  • Oh my. I'm not sure if non/asian fit applies to snow goggles as well in the same way, but thank you for this video. Extremely helpful.
