To see Feather River Canyon flooding during the flood of 97, search for flooding in the Feather River Canyon or "1997 New Years Flood in Plumas County Trailer"

Nice filming. UP will always have to use this route at least some of the time due to the excessive snow at Donner Pass. This route is far lower in elavation than Donner.
I'm waiting for fall and the leaves to change color to do a driving trip from Chico to Reno in a month. That is the best time to view this beautiful canyon.

@trainboy32: My video camera has an optical zoom of 41x, so that helps.

Last train at 6:30 was the same train as at the Williams Loop at 1:01. : )

Nice spots! I didn't know there was a shared highway/railroad bridge there.

It's close enough to the horseshoe at James that people are forced to choose between there and the shared bridge, and they usually choose to take the shot at James, so it's a location not often photographed or videotaped.
