its still a game and ARMA2 is a simulator. So they are vastly different and cant be compared. DR is arcade and simple. And of course look at the communities wich are leaving the websites of DR because the game was never what they said it would be - a follow up of BIS OFP. Not even close. And they stopped work on it now after 2 patches wich really tells us it was utter shit from the start. The military working with CM to do this game are probably ashamed now. I know i would if i worked with CM..

@deviletk i think that arma 2 is an excellent game and so if dr. arma 2 is better because you have more options for different things! and real marines helped codemasters create this game so would have to be good!

And yes, CM did lie... but in 2008 this game was going to be so much more than it turned out.

ARMA2 will always be better, but for those who CANT play arma2 because of their a console user (pfft) or cant afford a pc to play a proper simulator DR is pretty close....

I agree for kids that DR is better simulator, but all ive said that DR is better at is models of guns and its "particle effects" as arma2 is pretty sucksih on those 2 parts... not as much on guns though..

BIS will wipe the floor with DR any day... but DR is good for just console players etc... since for them it is as close to a simulator as they can get...

If DR wasn't a console ported game it would have at least become a proper competitor for ARMA2... taking the engine and everything they used into account... without CM the game would be good.... but its not....

So dont thumb down my comment because you dont know.

Ive never said its more realistic or better graphics...

Its better in tactics and command system since its easy-to-use.. sure ARMA2 is wayyy more realistic, but most people cant afford a PC to play ARMA2 well so DR is as close as you can get for people who cant.

I play both and prefer ARMA2 since its more realstic and has better models etc etc. But i dotn get why people hate DR and say its dead when its not "dead"...

We ARMA users know you DR kids are just that - kids that buy into an oiled up PR machine telling you "its a simulator yeah". Only someone without knowledge would stand up for that dumb statement. And it shows that it works. For example Gran Turismo has in the title "the real driving simulator" and kids think it IS a simulator - wich it isnt. iRacing and Live For Speed are proper racing simulators. Spot the difference... OFP2 DR is pure shit with nothing on ARMA if were talking same category.

Yes mate, many people who served in the forces play Arma 2, and say how crap flashpoint 2 is. Or do real soldiers with real experience know less than you about realism?
