Foxtel's Latest Blunder - Happy Oedipus

One of the more annoying ads on Australian TV at the moment. Originally EOFYS - End Of Financial Year Sale - how did they not realise it sounds like OEDIPUS?

Oedipus Rex, originally a play by Sophocles, depicts the fall of Oedipus, a king who unwittingly killed his father and married his mother.
It has now been re-interpreted by Foxtel, who is willing to screw anyone in return for your money.

@Mr40up Wow really, Well i got 1 year free and trust me "free" and it was still "SHIT AS" so after the year was up i ripped apart the foxtel box took the 500GB SATA HDD, And the rest rubbish straight in the bin thanks foxtel for the free stuff!!

I'm so glad that I wasn't the only one to hate Foxtel's very annoying 'EOFYS' ads. Ever since they started singing it in their incredibly annoying jingles, I thought they were singing 'Oedipus' as well. With all those kids running around in the ads with their parents I found it very weird and disturbing. You couldn't help thinking that the EOFYS promotion has an intended condoning subconcious undertone to promote incest. I am also sure the ad is a hit for Paedophiles. Stop the ads.

WARNING stay away from foxtell , there boxes are radio active and cause cancer they have componants in them that are radio active , my wife had thoriod cancer and we were told that its caused by being exposed to raido active material , we had everything tested in our home thinking maybe it was the faulty microwave , but the foxtell bos showd the highest readings , we were so shocked, now my wife is having theropy and we are all being tested. WARNING STAY AWAY FROM FOXTEL BOXES.
