another point to add, yes uae had a very bad year of first team football. it was our worst yeat, but if u actually watch football instead of talking too much u would of realized that uae's u-20 reached the quarter finals of the u-20 world cup, losing a place in the semi-final by a last minute goal in the 120th minute. uae's u-17 reached the round of 16 of the u-17 world cup but again luck was against us and lost to turkey. where was vietnam ? i am dying to read your feedback :)

uae played in the 1990 world cup and played germany, yugoslavia, columbia, 3 of the world's strongest teams in the world at the time,
uae lost to saudi arabia in the asian cup final 1996 by penalties and were runners up, uncrowned champions of that tournament with even the saudi's admitting it.
uae were close many times to win many tournaments but luck was never on our side.
